Without a plan, the scene unfolded almost by itself. Figures and objects collided in ways I couldn’t anticipate, forming a world that feels theatrical and absurd. Some humor, some tension — it all emerged instinctively, as if the painting had a life of its own. Inspirations from Dali’s dreamlike logic and Melle’s playful surrealism guided my hand, but mostly I followed the brush where it wanted to go.
